Money is just a piece of paper that it is used to help people survive. People living in a society that still forces child to work below minimum wage because their family does not have enough money to survive. These people know the value of money. They know that money is used to help them survive. And without it, they could die. I did some research and I found out that the clothing store GAP has some clothing that are produced by child labor.
Cars, jewelry, brand name clothing, video games consoles, I pods, cell phones. We live in a world were technology is changing ever year. You might buy a Nintendo wii and after awhile there is a new game system you have to have. I saw in the discovery channel a story about six students who are seniors in high school.
4. You are going out for lunch, when you see a 20 dollar bill on the floor. You pick it up. Then do you:
a)Go to subway, and buy a 12 inch sub and waste the rest of the money on junk food.
b)You realize this week is free the children charity week, and waste some of the money on that charity. And the rest on other people.
c)You remember that you owe some of your friends some money, so you pay them back.
In my opinion, I think if you have some money and you spend it on someone else. I think it can make you happy. Whether it is a charity or your friends. I think the saying “Money doesn’t bring happiness” is only true when your being greedy and spending money on yourself. If you give someone else that really deserves it, some of your money I think it can make them happy and yourself.
I read this short story about this group of friends who are at McDonald. When one of there friends were talking to this homeless man. And from the main character’s perspective it sounded like the friend and the homeless man were in an argument. When he came in the homeless man was walking behind him. And the friend bought the homeless man a huge meal. And the boy said to his friends “I had some money I didn’t need and the homeless man had none, so it was only right.” This story tells me that money might not buy happiness but if you spend it on some else who really needs it. You would not regret it. And the person you spend it on will be happy too.
thank you so much
