Open Question: ipod touch update?

right im trying to update my ipod touch i paid $15 to this site and they gave m some file called:iPod1,1_1.1.4_4A102_Restore.ipsw and when i run it i tnes just opens and thats it. what do i do and have i downloaded the right thing i dont wanna pay no more money. thanks in advance.
