Open Question: Is it possible to receive money owed from roommate if they were not on the lease in small claims court?
My ex-roomate and I obtained an apartment with her as an occupant and me as the leasholder. The situation did not work out and resulted in us breaking the lease and going our separate ways. She still owes money for damages to her room, and money is owed on the apartment for breaking the lease. In north carolina what are the chances that the judge will rule in my favor for half of what is owed on the account.
