Open Question: is this conceited?

i thought a lovely mother's day gift for my mother would be fore me to dress up, do makeup i mean what could be a better gift than something pretty to look at? i mean it SOUNDS kind of...conceited if you look at it a certain way. but if i was a mother, i'd think it a great gift if my child dressed up. and i don't usually dress up, i preserve "the pretty" for special occassions {because i really hate attention 24/7} i know what you're thinking...just get her a regular gift. well i WAS untill my employer decided to hold checks for like 2 extra weeks. i'm a college student so i don't have like hundreds in the bank or on hand. whereas getting pretty is practically free since i already have makeup and adorable clothes or should i just cook....(i have money right now, but the gift i want for her cost a lot, so i was thinking just wait until i get paid and that be like a 2nd gift)??? am i overthinking it
