Open Question: Is this reasonable for 20 years old?

I'm in college and I'm home when I'm not at school. Since I was 14 I was in boarding school/college, so I haven't been home year round. I'll go out and when my parents ask me to be home by midnight, I'll be home by midnight, etc. I understand things like chores, and school, and whatnot. I understand what they expect. But does anyone think it's a little strange that they are willing to pull me out of college for getting a job?-- I understand that school should be my main focus, but this is my junior year in college, I don't ask my parents for money, and I have classes 2 days out of the week. Plus, I've been living in dorms for 6 years and I'm sick of them. I'm 20, will be on my ow in a couple of years, and I'm not allowed to work. Would you consider that controlling? Off topic--my boyfriend lives about an hour away. we're always visiting each other, back and forth, so it's a pain (plus gas prices). How could I convince my parents to let me stay overnight, so it's easier?
