Financial talk

hiya guys, i am handing in an appeal to my university, and has been delayed by 6-8 weeks primarily due to my sisters health and also the fact that i had financial problems and was working most days of the weeks to pay back some personal loans that i had taken. is it worth still handing in my appeal, as it has been delayed also what other reason can i use that will be accepted, as my real reasons don't sound to good. please give me a list if possible so i can choose. thanks guys! the appeal is regarding me degree classification awarded to me.
