Open Question: How can I clean my large basement (with no remodeling) and get all the dust and insects out?
Our basement is ridiculously filthy. I made it my project to turn it around and make it look great. It's pretty large, it's just a room with one floor to itself.
It has not been remodeled, nor do we have the money TO remodel it.
It's where we keep our old clothes/things we hardly use/holiday items/etc. There's just so much dust and insects down there (which I REALLY want to get rid of, I hate bugs). How can I get rid of them without pesticides or expensive equipment and keep them out? I'm going to try to add something to the doors/windows to keep them out, but I don't know how I'm going to do that, any ideas? I really want to do this, so I'm up for any challenge to get my basement tidy. Any help/tips are extremely appreciated!
