Open Question: Independent for Financial Aid if my parents dont claim me?
My parents don't claim me on their taxes. I do all my own taxes. Also, I live in a different state then my parents. They live in FL and I live in MN. I was wondering if based on them not claiming me on their taxes and they don't support me if I could get Financial Aid as an independent or if there is any way that I could get some assistance?
Also, I am only 20 and I live with my boyfriend so I know I can't get it as an independant based on the fact we arent married and I'm not 24. I want to know if there is any way to get around it so I can get help.
