Financial talk

I have a brother who thinks that we younger ones should never ask about his financial status. Or else we will be called disrespectful. If we ask him more questions about something, he will want us to shut up. He says this kind of attitude is somewhat nagging. Like a priest preaching christianity. I am 20 already. He is only 23 yr old. Even if we helped him to ask about sth financially for our mother, he will say its bullshit. He calls us stubborn and conceited. I'd like to hear what the public has to say. Thanks. He is still studying. We only asked him whether he needs money.
