Open Question: Is selling ads for right wing radio programs wrong?

I work for a radio station that has an FM transmitter that plays "adult contemporary" music. It is a fairly easy sell. The AM radio is a bit more difficult. It broadcasts some national right-wing programs, some local programs (most not political), some sports programming and even a religious program on Sunday AM. It is hard to sell spots for the local ads on the right-wing programs. Most have fillers or deeply discounted national ads for credit relief or penis pills. I had to try something new this week. I sold advertising to an adult book store for one of the local shows. I have an interested tobacco (drug paraphernalia is actually their specialty) shop as well as an interested gun shop. These are clients we normally didn't approach. Management had to have a meeting over my new sales contacts. Bottom line is it is revenue, and revenue is short. I don't personally like the shows or advertisers, but I need to earn money. Have I made a mistake selling out my morals for about $600? Thanks Sleep number is a national ad. I have nothing to do with that. We have typically 8 slots to fill per hour with local ads. Sometimes we fill those ads with promos. Sometimes we fill them with national ads at about an 85% discount. I can't sell this sort of thing to a restaurant, believe me, I've tried. I figured what the heck, try some less honorable businesses. I'm going to go for some gin mills, massage parlors, more adult bookstores (such an easy sell, I don't think he was ever approached before) whatever out of mainstream advertisers I can think of. Your local station probably would have more adult book store ads if the reps thought out of the box like I've started to...
