Open Question: Is selling fashionable Arab scarves a good way to raise money to donate to relief efforts in the Middle East?
Since raising money is so difficult, I thought that maybe if I used "popular fashion" I could get more people's attention and donations. I'm sure everyone knows about the new fashion trend going on these days with wrapping the traditional Arab scarf (called a Kafiyah), around the neck. Its original colors were red and white or black and white, but the fashion trend has them in all sorts of colors. So, I was thinking, if I sell something that people want, since its a popular fashion trend, I could spread awareness of the scarf's origins, and raise money for relief efforts in Middle East at the same time. I understand it all sounds good on paper, but going to be extremely difficult to execute, but I first need to be confident that it's a good idea before I commit to it. So, what do you think?
