Open Question: LPNs in Florida - Tell me about your training please?

I am interested in pursuing either a LPN or RN degree. There are several reasons. I love the medical field and know I belong somewhere in it and my employment history is strictly in the medical field. I also want to help people, that's always been my passion. However, I spent my time and money going to school for a masters degree in counseling and now I can't find a job. I took some time off (6 months) working at a mail order pharmacy after I graduated because unfortunately, my Mother passed away the weekend I was supposed to be receiving my degree. I wasn't able to find a job after that so I was forced to move out of state to live with a relative. I'm tired of being poor, so I started looking into alternative careers and I thought of nursing. So part of my reason is financial. The problem is I am very uncomfortable with working with needles and blood, vomit, along with some other "graphic things". I understand that not every nurse has to deal with these things. . . after they complete school and are working on the job, but what about in school while receiving training? Can anyone tell me about their experience in training? I know my question was long and confusing but I'd really appreciate it. Please help me. . . I'm trying to make a life decision and I don't know who to turn to because the nurses I have talked to give conflicting stories.
