Open Question: What’s reasonable spending amount while away?
My DH has a history of spending a lot while away for work (er, actually anytime). Right now he's been gone for a week and has 2 more weeks left. I'm not suggesting that he spends nothing more than absolutely necessary, but I would like him to keep it reasonable. Week 1 spending was a little over $250. He's fed 3 meals a day (but he can opt to eat elsewhere out of pocket and company pays gas.) What do you think is a reasonable amount of spending money? How do I approach him about curbing his spending for the rest of the time? He acts like an addict who's being denied their fix...not fun to deal with. I don't deal well with his "emotional punishment" so I need an approach that will make him sympathetic and understanding, not cornered and on the defense. Please no dumb comment that he's cheating etc.
