Open Question: What’s the quick/cheap/safe way from Glasgow to Salzburg on 30/10/08 after 6 pm arriving before 9 am 31/10/08?
I am presenting at a conference in Glasgow on 30/10/08 that ends around 1700. I am a student with limited financial resources. I am presenting at another conference in Salzburg on 31/10/08 that has a strict arrival time of 0900, which would require me to arrive at the airport by 0800 or so to have enough time to get to the conference on time. Some of the routes take as long as 14 (!) hours, with many layovers. After searching many sites, I was unable to find any flights that leave Glasgow after 1700 and arrive before 0900 the next day. I am willing to take a combination of trains/planes/coach/etc between Munich, Linz, Innsbruck, Vienna, Zurich, and even Geneva and Bern, provided the trip is safe and fits within my time frame.
